DID YOU KNOW?

Honeybees will visit two million flowers to make one pound of honey.

A single honeybee will produce 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime.

HONEYCOMB is edible all by itself, and has been called the “beekeeper’s lunch”. It is made naturally by bees and is a mass of hexagonal wax cells used to store honey, larvae, and pollen,

BLOOM

The dust-like film that appears in the surface of beeswax is called “bloom”? Bloom is the sugar that rises to the surface of beeswax.  It will occur on all beeswax over time, and most often when the temperature changes from warm to cold.  Though may people enjoy the look of bloom, it can be gently wiped off with a soft cloth thus restoring the distinction luster of the beeswax.  Another effective way to remove bloom is to carefully heat your candle with a hair dryer.  Bloom is your assurance that your candle is made from pure beeswax.
