Mission - The mission of the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum (OBRM) is to heighten public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the railroad’s role in our heritage and history, as well as to increase understanding of rail technology and its impact on Long Island life. The Museum endeavors to educate and promote the significant role that the Long Island Rail Road’s Oyster Bay station played in the public life of Theodore Roosevelt. OBRM will collect and preserve the railroad heritage of Long Island.
